Peanuts are a quirky plant and very easy to grow. If you were feeding the birds all winter you may have seeds left over.
They have the unusual habit of flowering above the ground and fruiting under the ground!
Just fill your egg box with some compost or soil.
Place a couple of peanuts on top and push them into the soil so that they’re covered.
Water and place in a warm place ie a sunny window sill. ( keep an eye so the soil doesn’t dry out.)
They should start to sprout in ten days or so. Easy peasy!
