School News- March 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It has been great to see all our students back in school over the past few weeks.  We hope that the rest of this term and next term will be a safe and enjoyable time in school for all our students and staff.

Remote/online learning

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all our pupils on their efforts during the period of school closure in January and February. All the staff were very impressed and pleased with the engagement both online and with work packs by our students. Also, a big thank-you to all staff for their efforts during this period of remote teaching and learning. Well done all!!

Sacraments

We wish our communion and confirmation pupils well as they prepare for their Sacraments. We have no confirmed dates yet for Confirmation, we will let you know the details as soon as we have them available. First Penance and First Holy Communion dates are still not finalised, again as soon as we know we will be in touch.

St. Patricks Day

Next Tuesday 16th March we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in school. This will be a non-uniform day and all students will be encouraged to wear green to school on the day.  St Brigid’s will then close on Wednesday 17th March for St. Patrick’s Day.

July Provision

We are not in a position to offer school-based July Provision this summer (2021). We would like to inform parents/guardians now, to allow time to source a tutor. Home based July Provision can still be accessed by those who qualify.

Easter Holidays

St. Brigid’s will close for Easter holidays on Friday 26th March at 12.00pm and reopen on Monday 12th April at 9am.

Kind Regards,

Eddie Martin (Principal)
