I love going out into the garden after a shower of rain, to see what seedlings have popped up. We always presume the seedlings are just weeds (a weed , by the way, is just a plant growing in the wrong place), but sometimes nature provides a bounty. The photo shows little wallflower seedlings that have self seeded below the mother plant. I let the plant go to seed last year, and it rewarded me with all these little plants.
So, before you start hoeing/weeding, have a scout around the garden and see if there are any interesting clumps of seedlings you can dig up and grow on. You might be pleasantly surprised!!
