Chocolate is the food of love.

First jobs to do as always..make sure you have all your equipment and ingredients, hands washed ,hair tied back and apron on !!

Pre heat the oven to 190 degrees
Line the baking dish with grease proof paper, cutting into the corners so it will fit snugly into the corners of the dish.
Weigh out using the scales……170g unsalted butter/200g castor sugar/90g brown sugar/3 eggs/40g cocoa/70g plain flour/75g chocolate chips (Make sure these measurements are accurate/you might need to get someone to check)

Melt the butter on a low heat in a saucepan

Add the two different sugars (white and brown) mix well until it is all comes together and looks like a paste.
Sieve the flour and cocoa into the sugar and butter mixture/mix gently.
Add in the whisked eggs.Again gently mix
Pour the mixture into the baking dish.
Place on the middle shelf of the oven using your oven gloves.Bake for 30/35 mins
Allow to cool before you take it out of the dish.
When cooled ,dust with icing sugar.
cut into 12 squares.when completely cold
Wrap in a square of tinfoil to keep fresh
Just an idea..I wrapped the brownie in a napkin and tied it with a bit of ribbon…You could use kitchen paper and wool also.

A nice little gesture for someone you love ….
